  18. I am trying to install xdvik-1.8 under Linux 1.1.19.  It compiles and
  19. installs cleanly but when I try to execute xdvi it can't find any
  20. fonts, specifically xdvi: Font cmti10 not found.  Several other fonts
  21. are also listed it can't find.  However, the font is on the disk:
  22. /usr/TeX/lib/tex/fonts/cmti10.tfm I initially installed xdvik-1.8
  23. under /usr/local/src/xdvik-1.8 and the environment variable XDVIFONTS
  24. was set to /usr/src/lib/tex/fonts/ which didn't exist.  I then
  25. installed xdvik-1.8 under /usr/TeX/xdvik-1.8 and had the same problem
  26. even though I reset the environment variable XDVIFONTS to
  27. /usr/TeX/lib/tex/fonts/ which did exist.  Any hints on how to fix the
  28. problem?  Thank you.
